A prosthodontist is a certified specialist who deals with the restoration and replacement of missing teeth as well as a wide variety of other esthetic and cosmetic procedures
Dental Implants
Dental implants can be used to support the restoration of a single tooth or group of teeth when the natural root is no longer strong enough or needs to be removed entirely. Implants may be associated with restorations such as a single crown, bridges or even dentures, serving as a strong anchor that connects the prosthetic restoration directly to the bone structure.

Treatments
Crowns
A crown, also called a cap, is a hollow, artificial tooth used to cover a damaged or decayed tooth.
Bone Grafting
Dental implants require bone of a certain width and height, and bone grafts are often needed as part of a dental implant treatment.
Bridges
A bridge replaces missing teeth. It is made up of an artificial tooth fused between 2 crowns.

Dr. Joslin is a Board Certified Specialist in Periodontics. She is the past president of the BC Society of Periodontists and is an active member with both the BC Dental Association and the Dental Specialist Society of BC. Dr. Joslin maintains private practices in Langley and Vancouver and is a part-time clinical instructor at UBC.
Dr. Kirk Sutton
Certified Specialist in Prosthodontist, DMD, MSc, FRCD(C), FACP
Dr. Sutton is a Board Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics. He is a respected lecturer who is actively involved in peer education as a part time clinical instructor at UBC and as the founder of a local Spears Study Club. He has a previous appointment as a Prosthodontist for the Vancouver General Hospital and maintains private practices in Langley and Vancouver.
